A lovely spot to rest with a view of the lake. There's also a boat launch.

There are many shelters like this in Sweden. This one is located right on Lake Bolmen. Perfect for a rest or even an overnight stay. There's a barbecue area and restroom available. If you want to stay overnight or have a fire, you have to pay a fee of a few euros, which you can pay online. There's a sign at the lake with detailed information. I just relaxed in the hammock. Until sunset. The entrance to the lake is very shallow here, making it suitable for children. The water is wonderfully fresh and clear.

Lake Bolmen is a beautiful, clean and fantastic lake. It is the twelfth largest lake in Sweden and is known for its clean water, which can even be drunk, although it is purified before it comes out of our taps as drinking water.

A very interesting place with great atmosphere, an old railroad bridge now cycle path. The site of the former fortress Piksborg is also interesting.
