April 18, 2026, St. Madoc of Ferns Church, Haroldston West

It is believed that Saint Madoc founded a church at this spot around 583 AD. He probably chose this location in the small valley as it offered protection from pirates and the weather (still an advantage in the 21st century). The medieval south wall and the font have been preserved, the church was restored around 1883. Mill Haven sits on a gorgeous stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast. The section between here and St Bride's Haven boasts cliffs of rose-coloured sandstone and vibrant wildlife.

This is a glorious little section of coast path near Druidston Beach. Just a little further south is the excellent viewpoint at Haroldstone Chins.

Get to the car-parking early as it is very limited. Some cars have to park on steep slopes, the level parking fills up first. There are public toilets open at peak times
