Gradska otoka is located in the very center of the city of Bihać, on the Una River, and represents one of the most picturesque and beloved places in the city. It was once the heart of the old bazaar – at the end of the 19th century, numerous houses, warehouses, shops, and mills were located here, connected to the banks by wooden bridges. Today, Gradska otoka is a space for meeting, culture, and entertainment, where fairs, concerts, and various events are held. A special symbol of this place is the sculpture "The Girl from Una", made of local stone, bihacite, which, after restoration, was reinstalled and quickly became one of the most recognizable features of the city. Gradska otoka today attracts numerous visitors who come here to enjoy the natural beauty of the Una River, take photos with picturesque river landscapes, and feel the unique blend of history, art, and vibrant city spirit that makes Gradska otoka an unmissable destination for every visit to Bihać. Kostelski buk on the Una River is a destination of exceptional natural beauty, located right on the main road on the way from Bihać to Cazin. Just 8 kilometers from Bihać, in the village of Kostela, before turning towards the Old Town of Ostrožac, an almost unreal idyllic picture will appear in your field of vision. However, after parking your vehicle in the well-maintained parking lot, you will be convinced that the world around you is completely real. Buk means waterfall, and the Kostelski buk location truly abounds with waterfalls and cascades above which is located the renowned Kostelski buk restaurant and hotel. Exceptional service, outstanding food, and moderate prices. In the idyllic ambiance, the unobtrusive professional service of the staff contributes to making guests feel welcome here. By crossing a charming wooden bridge, you will reach a small natural island where domestic animals reside in the pleasant forest shade of the natural park. It is not appropriate to talk too much about Kostelski buk, because this place of unique beauty should truly be experienced and felt with all senses. Therefore, we can warmly recommend it, and the photo gallery below can give you an idea of the atmosphere of Kostelski buk. Source: https://www.ludens.media/kostelski-buk-na-uni/

This is not one of the largest waterfalls on the Una, but the cascades with numerous small waterfalls/rapids in Kostelski are one of the most beautiful places on the Una. See:https://www.facebook.com/reel/874968847305698

Izvor: https://ckt.ba/stari-grad-ostrozac/

After the end of World War II, the castle in Ostrožac was converted into a home for orphaned children, i.e. for children whose parents perished during the war. Although the motives for such an act were noble, it had catastrophic consequences for the castle, as its interior was drastically changed, hence the gray color of the woodwork with which the once bright and vivid colors were repainted. Then, the castle's inventory was also brutally looted. Thus, many valuable exhibits from the castle ended up in private hands, with every trace of them lost.
