St. Paraskevi Church

Highlight • Religious Site

The church was built in the second half of the 17th century. The date of construction is often given as 1700. The tower was added in 1743. This date was found on one of the beams of the structure. However, it may only refer to the renovation of the older tower. It is the oldest probably dated tower of the Lemko church. After Operation Vistula in 1947, the temple began to be used as a Roman Catholic church, belonging to the parish in Uście Gorlickie. Currently, it is shared between Roman Catholics and Greek Catholics.

Diabli Kamień Rock Formation

Highlight • Natural Monument

Diabli Kamień is a rock group constituting a natural monument on the edge of the Magurski National Park in the Low Beskids. It is located in the town of Folusz, it is one of the stops on the nature trail. It consists of numerous large boulders of coarse-grained Magura sandstone, with the highest rising to over 10 meters. The rocks are originally shaped and divided by numerous crevices.

This place owes its name to a local legend. According to her, devils wanted to destroy the church in Cieklin by moving a huge boulder from Magura Wątkowska. However, when the rooster crowed over Mount Cosmas, the devils lost their power and the boulder fell from their clutches, breaking into smaller rocks and saving the church. Apparently there are traces of devil's claws on the rock...

Lysula observation tower

Highlight • Viewpoint

Probably the most scenic tower of all in this area. The view from it is much more charming than from Wiatrówki (Moszczenica), from Ferdel or Desznica. It is certainly worth going there just for the views alone. Additionally, the tower has a pipe to slide down - it is certainly an additional attraction. For the safety of tourists, a gate is installed at the entrance to ensure that there are no more than 80 visitors on the tower.

St. Catherine's Church in Grybow

Highlight • Religious Site

The center of Grybów is quite nicely kept. The impression is spoiled by the country road running through the center of the city.

Pride of Szalowa - a wooden church from the 1730s. It is worth noting that at the time of its foundation, Augustus III of Saxony, the penultimate king of Poland, began his rule and the hussars were still a significant force in the Polish army. Inventions such as the steam engine, the telephone or even the light bulb were not yet known - the pinnacle of modernity at that time was the mercury thermometer invented a few years earlier.

In summer, access from the parking lot is much easier. A wide gravel path leads from Mecina Wielka or Mała, followed by steep forest trails. Access from Mecina Mała is also available via a narrow asphalt road, which leads to the parking lot.

In winter, when everything is covered in snow, you have to look at the trees and trail markings. In summer, there are plenty of paths, even if you get lost, you can find another path.
