We were here on July 1st for dinner. We searched the menu in vain for dinner dishes and ordered a large 50 cm pizza with ketchup, for 97 PLN. Meanwhile, at the next table, a customer received a schnitzel with potatoes and salad. I went to the staff to ask how it was possible, since such dishes were not on the menu. After waiting a moment, I looked through the list of dishes again, bound in plastic sleeves, and made sure they didn't offer schnitzel. The surprised barmaid looked into the menu and unpeeled the stuck-together sleeves, revealing the hidden dinner dishes. I felt stupid. Don't fall into the same trap. WW

The monument stands near the city walls in a quiet place, away from street traffic. Marcin Kromer (1512-1589) - an outstanding scholar and diplomat of the Jagiellonian era, Bishop of Warmia and a great Pole. The community of Biecz Land honored him in 2012 on the 500th anniversary of his birth. (according to the inscription on the monument's pedestal). It may surprise someone that the Bishop of Warmia, who died in Lidzbark Warmiński and was buried in the cathedral in Frombork, has a monument at the opposite end of Poland - in Biecz. The explanation is simple - he was born in Biecz and felt connected to it, helping to rebuild the town hall tower, reforming the school, and funding scholarships for the youth of Biecz.
