In response to Bolek's question: These stones have nothing to do with Switzerland. Several border stones were integrated as steps into the stairs leading up from the Krowiarki Pass to Babia Góra. If you continue hiking the GSB towards the east, you can even discover D-S border stones in their original position in the ground in several places. I know that between the area of the General Government of the German Reich (-> D) and the Slovak State (Slovenský štát -> S) during World War II, there were stones with S and D. In some places, these were simply left standing. As the borders between today's Poland and today's Slovakia have shifted, these S-D stones are now partly within Poland.
