The Burgkirche Maria vom Siege (Castle Church Mary of the Victory) is located in the Oberwittelsbach district of Aichach in the Aichach-Friedberg district, Bavaria. It stands on the site of the former ancestral castle of the Wittelsbachs, Wittelsbach Castle, and is an important historical building in the region. History: The origins of the church are closely linked to the history of the Wittelsbachs. After the destruction of Wittelsbach Castle in 1209, the present church was built on its site around 1420. The Gothic brick building was altered and re-equipped in the 17th and 19th centuries.
