St. Blasius Church Balve – Romanesque clarity with a striking silhouette The St. Blasius Church has shaped Balve's Kirchplatz since the 12th century. Its Romanesque hall structure appears simple and powerful, while the octagonal dome from the early 20th century gives the building a distinctive presence. Inside, you'll find calm proportions and medieval fresco fragments – a harmonious place for a short break on your tour through the Hönnetal. https://www.balve.de/kultur-und-tourismus/kultur/sehenswuerdigkeiten/pfarrkirche-st-blasius

The beautiful castle in Amecke has been owned by the von Wrede family since 1338. The house, known in 1397 as "castrum Adenbecke", was divided into an upper and lower house in 1419. The upper house came to the von Heigen or Heggen and Droste zu Füchten families through marriage. The lower house remained in the continuous possession of the von Wrede family, who bought back the upper house in 1758 and were thus able to reunite the entire property. Unfortunately, the castle is not available for public tours. But you can have a wonderful party here. If you are looking for an extraordinary place for your event, be a guest at the castle. The beautiful castle barn is an extraordinary, individual room with a large dance floor for celebrations and events of all kinds. Wedding celebrations (including weddings at the castle), anniversaries, company celebrations or product presentations - the castle barn is an unforgettable event location in any case. When the weather is nice, your guests can enjoy the castle ambience in front of the barn. Source: https://www.sauerland.com/de/outdooractive-pois/schloss-haus-amecke
