You can only enter the mill grounds as a customer. The grain mill was first documented in 1396. Much of the history of the mill, which is still in operation, is known and can be read here: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fessler_M%C3%BChle I find these products particularly noteworthy: "Whisky and gin from the Mettertal region, regional grains, and special fruits form the basis of our spirits. A special feature is our Mettermalt whisky, made with locally grown grain, gently milled on the historic 1870 millstones with their special millstones, and spring water from our own spring on the Stromberg, stored deep in the cellar of the over 620-year-old mill in various casks." https://fessler-muehle.de/ Opening hours of the mill and farm shop Wednesday to Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. https://fessler-muehle.de/portfolio/muehlenladen/

The "Klosterberg" (monastery mountain) is actually called Baiselsberg and, at 476.6 m above sea level, is the highest point of the Stromberg. The "Baiselsberg Monastery Ruins" at the top are definitely worth a visit.

We were out as a group today (Corpus Christi) and were verbally abused when we had to cross the mill grounds to continue our bike tour, and we struggled with our bikes under a barrier. Absolutely anti-advertising for the facility!
