Jump Off Rock is the centerpiece of a small park in Laurel Park. The viewpoint is reached by a short trail which takes you to the platform that has amazing views of Western North Carolina.

Sharpy Mountain is the highest of the peaks directly bordering Turkey Pen Gap in Pisgah National Forest. A steep climb to the top offers views of the South Fork Mills River, Pine Mountain, and Laurel Mountain.

At 3,620 feet, Stone Mountain is the most northern and the tallest summit in DuPont State Recreational Forest. The summit, itself, is rocky and offers some great views to the southwest (basically peering into the rest of the State Forest). The trail to the top is challenging, and there are two different approaches you can use to get to the final summit trail.

Holmes Educational State Forest has a handful of different interpretive and nature trails. The most popular is the Demonstration Trail, which is a loop trail traveling around the perimeter of the forest. This is a lesser visited area than the nearby Dupont State Recreational Forest.

This small pond is right off the side of the trail. It's a small pond, and a lot of it is covered in algae and fallen sticks in the warmer months. It's still a good place to see wildlife if you're lucky.

Jump Off Rock Park is one of the main attractions in the small mountain town of Laurel Park. The informational and inspirational area provides benches, walking trails, viewing areas, and educational readings for guests to use. During daylight hours, the park is open year round, free of charge.

Jump Off Rock is a giant boulder sitting on the top of the 3,100 foot summit. There are informational signs at the lookout telling you what peaks are you are looking at.
