Hirrlinger Castle was built between 1557 and 1558 by Freiherr Georg VII. von Ow (1517-1575) in the Renaissance style, modelled after Bühler Castle, and is one of the few rural Renaissance castles in the district of Tübingen that has remained almost unchanged.
