Another great spot to watch tourists, best done on a bicycle as traffic in summer crawls through town.

An atypical Maine beach, in that this one has sand. Reasonably good surf break (must be Canadians flock when there are waves)

Be sure to stop to experience the atmosphere

The pond and the Great Pond Nature Reserve are separated from the ocean by a fairly narrow strip of woodland. From this corner on First Street, you get a good view of the pond and the ocean behind it. There is an area of grass between the road and the pond where you can stop for a photo or take a rest and enjoy the view.

This is a beautiful spot on Ocean Avenue with great views across to Beach Island. If you want to have a break or if you have time on your hands, there is a small footpath that goes down to the rocky beach.

Swan Pond Creek is a small pond off of Goodwins Mills Road. The Goodwins Mills General Store is located right here too and is a great place to stop as you ride around the area for a snack break.

Great East Lake is shared between two townships with New Hampshire taking 55% of the surface area. This almost 10,000 acre lake is a great place to picnic on the shore, go boating, fishing, or a plethora of other water sports. The lake is classified as "pristine" in regard to water quality.
