Catholic parish church, built in 1857 as a garrison church. The unusual exterior is due to the fact that the collapsed remains of the Ulm fortifications were used during construction. Inside, the altar area and the baptistery are particularly worth seeing (simple but impressive).

Light traffic, good asphalt. You can really let it rip there.

This original garrison church was redesigned and expanded between 1922 and 1926 according to plans by Dominikus Böhm. The building materials used were reclaimed from demolished fortifications. The church is considered one of the most important examples of Expressionist church architecture in Germany. The interior, in particular, is striking for its fascinating use of light and the play of shadows created by the vaulted arches and their net-like interlacing in the ceiling area. In sunny weather, the stained-glass windows create a true riot of color. Be sure to take a look inside the church if you happen to be there during its opening hours, which are daily between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
