The mill weir of the Rodenberg estate also belongs to this mill landscape. The complex with its weir and mill channel is architecturally interesting and remarkably well-preserved. The facilities for salt production have not been preserved. Until 1859, two graduation towers and a saltworks stood on the grounds of the estate. The brine pumped from Soldorf was processed into salt and had to cover the complete salt requirements of the Hessian county of Schaumburg for a long time.
