At Nora’s lakeshore, the water reflects the sky with a quiet, unforced beauty. It is a gentle view, simple and memorable.

If you arrive after Sweden’s summer holidays, be sure to call ahead. We arrived at 16:30, and though the sign for the cafe said open til 17:00, we could find no one and the telephone number listed went straight to an answering machine. A permanent camper tried to help us find someone, but he didn’t speak English. None of the other campers lent us their key for the showers/kitchen. There is a toilet with a cold water sink to use without a key. The tent pitch is beautiful, flat, great view of the lake, and close to the sanitary house (provided you get a key to it).

The season ends here a little earlier. We wanted to take the steam train in Nora (16-08-22), but it only runs on weekends. the village is extinct and the mine nearby no longer gives tours. I think it's better to drive to the town of Örebro around this time. The Uskavi loop trail of 12 km is very nice to walk ..

A very nice campsite right on the lake. Good equipment, fully equipped kitchen, modern and clean sanitary facilities. Fair prices.
