It's crazy what happened here until 1989. Today, the tower lies in the middle of the forest, and you almost drive past it without noticing. Before the fall of the Wall, it was all open ground, and the tower was manned by soldiers who had orders to shoot any refugees.

It's a bit far from here to the sailing ship, but whatever ;). I suggest going to the ferry port, buying a ticket (it's a small cost, but the route isn't long either 😂) and admiring this wonder that is the PASSAT up close.
