This is a lovely trail for a run or hike. It is a bit technical so you need to be sure footed. There are several places with nice views of the valley below.

At one point this might have been a nice trail but now it is overgrown. It is easy to follow and an option if you don't want to run the gravel road.

This little section of the Sentier des Moutons starts off on what looks like a driveway to a house and then turns into a nice narrow trail. The trail has nice views of the valley below all along it. It is steep in some sections but all of it is runnable. It is marked with the painted yellow sheep and very easy to follow.

This little peak has a really nice view of the valley below. If you are coming up from the valley, where the D620 is, you will have to climb a very steep narrow rocky trail. I did it the other direction and found the down hill so steep in some section that I needed to walk or slow jog.

Caunes-Minervois is a lovely little town about 25 minutes from Carcassonne. It has small, narrow streets and many wonderful old buildings that have been restored and turned into Gites. There are several good restaurants, good hiking and running trails nearby and the Abbaye de Caunes-Minervois to visit.
