The Château de Saint-Saturnin, in Puy-de-Dôme, is a medieval fortress built in the 13th century by the La Tour d'Auvergne family and subsequently became a royal residence for Catherine de Medici and Marguerite de Valois. You can explore the impressive architecture and beautiful gardens of the castle, as well as the charming village of Saint-Saturnin, which has a Romanesque church and offers panoramic views of the Monne valley. The castle is open for guided tours from April to September, and you can also stay overnight in one of the guest rooms or suites.
