The Senderhaus 1, which today houses the Funkerberg Museum, is considered the cradle of broadcasting in Germany. From here, in December 1920, the first broadcast transmission in Germany took place. With stories about the pioneers of broadcasting, with unique technical objects including completely preserved radio transmitters and historical receivers, diverse visitor groups are addressed. The Christmas concert of 1920 as well as the Sunday concerts from Königs Wusterhausen take center stage in the exhibition in the Sendersaal. A special highlight is the 1000 hp Deutz engine, which can be impressively experienced in action during regularly held demonstrations. www.museum.funkerberg.de

After the friendly roller driver gave me permission to be the first to ride on it, I took the opportunity and was able to cycle along the busy L40 in a relaxed manner. The surface and substructure aren't (yet) optimal, but finally off the road. 👌

One beach, two cycling highlights – two is better than one. And it earns you two points on the way to becoming a Pioneer.
