A beautiful waterfall, especially in winter with the thaw, when it's flowing well!

The climb of the Col Amic from Soultz-Haut-Rhin is a beautiful and accessible climb in the Vosges, ideal for cyclists who love regularity and nature. The climb is 12.1 km long, bridges 559 meters of altitude and has an average gradient of 4.6%. The route winds through a quiet, wooded area and offers beautiful views of the Alsatian plain along the way. The summit is at 829 meters and forms a junction towards the Grand Ballon or the Hartmannswillerkopf massif. Thanks to its even profile, this climb is suitable for both recreational cyclists and athletic climbers.

This bike path is very, very nice, and there's even a bench. The bike path is also under trees.

One of my favourite things about the Vosges, is the network of Auberge like this one. We had a delicious lunch at Auberge Gsang. 3 courses with: Soup, beef stew and local cheese and/or dessert. The auberge is run by a couple and everything home-made. As it was a snowy crisp day; the open fire was waiting to warm us up. In the summer; there is outdoor seating with an incredible view. Note the auberge is only accessible by foot or bike and stands at 1,020 meters of elevation (c. 3,200 ft). It is open from Wednesday to Sunday but do call ahead of setting off to ensure it is open on that day. (Or be ready with a back-up in your rucksack)

Beautiful waterfall in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park. The falls are particularly impressive after a period of rain. Its name comes from a rock located near the waterfall, and means "the rock of babies". Legend has it that couples went to get their baby at the Bubalafels.

Just before the Col du Haag you can get a pretty good view of the Grand Ballon, now you are "up there" so to speak 🤪
