The ancient city had two large cemeteries outside its city walls: the western and eastern necropolis. While parts of the larger western necropolis (often referred to as the "Street of Tombs") are excavated and visible today within the modern city area, the eastern necropolis extended along the eastern slopes of the Peranthi hill. The cemeteries were continuously used from the city's founding in the late 7th century BC (approx. 625 BC) by the Corinthians until the 1st century BC.

The western necropolis of ancient Ambrakia is the most important and best-preserved burial site of the former Corinthian colony. It stretched along an ancient "Sacred Road" that led directly from the southern city gate to the port of Amvrakos on the Ambracian Gulf. The graves were continuously used from the city's founding period in the late 7th century BC until its destruction by the Romans in 167 BC.

The historic Feyzullah Mosque (Greek: Φεϋζούλ Τζαμί, Turkish: Feyzullah Camii). The structure is estimated to date from the 15th century. It was probably built at the same time as the Faik Pasha Mosque, the other surviving Ottoman place of worship in Arta. It is a classic Ottoman single-dome mosque (Type A). The square prayer hall has a side length of exactly 6.40 meters.

We've already encountered 10-20 highly aggressive dogs. They seem to live in old stables and guard their territory. We had to wait for a car to escort us past, alongside the dogs. Absolutely avoid!
