This trail is a killer with lots of 10%+ ups and downs, but we managed to kill all of them 😊

GPX updated as I lost GPS on the trail at some point. Time is corrected and average speed ended up at 5.3 kmh and not 6.4

A few have been asking about the shoes I use for my hiking and speed hiking, so I have decided to share my opinion on the shoes I use at present.

For the past 10 years I have walked more than 25000 km and now I walk with my wife 😊

Chosing a shoe depends on several factors, what are you using the shoe for, running, hiking, cross country and of course what kind of surface.

The most important factor is of course your foot morphology!

I have several considerations when picking shoes because my feet have several issues.

1. I have a very high midfoot.
2. I have a hollow foot.
3. My forefoot is wide.

My opinion about this shoe.
This is, for me at least, the perfect shoe for long hikes, even on very challenging hikes.
I used this shoe for the Mols Bjerge Trail after only doing an initial 11 km walk in them, and they excelled in the tough conditions.

PROS
1. A very light shoe compared to the XA Pro 3D V9.
2. Very flexible in the forefoot region.
3. Good grip on challenging surfaces.

CONS
1. This model didn't have Gore-Tex, but that kept my foot nice and cool. The trail was partially wet and we had a bit of rain, so I did get wet feet, but nothing serious.
