The trail winds its way through the stunning landscapes of the Alpe Veglia and Alpe Devero Natural Park, beginning at the wide-open meadows of Devero and passing through the charming alpine village of Crampiolo. From there, the path leads to a serene lake, cradled in a vast forest of larch trees—a true jewel of the region.
During the summer months, hikers can enjoy a loop around the lake. It’s recommended to follow the trail in a clockwise direction, saving the easier, more relaxing stretch for the latter part of the journey.
Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to refill your water bottle and take a break. Both Devero and Crampiolo offer welcoming spots to rest and grab a bite, making this route not only scenic but also comfortably equipped for a day out in the mountains.
