Parking at Arberarder nature reserve carpark off the A86 between Spean Bridge and Laggan (NN482873) to complete the Creag Meagaidg circuit with two others. Followed the well made path beyond the reserve centre climbing into the woods; missed the path to go up onto Na Cnapanan, so once clear of the trees took a direct route straight up the rough heater slopes onto the saddle. A tough climb, hard on the feet. Warm work on the sunny clear day. Continued up to Carn Liath and after a lunch stop continued along the ridge line towards Stob Poite Coire Ardair. A warm day of 16° with very clear conditions gave fantastic far reaching views. From Stob Poite Coire Ardair down into the col then straight up the other side and across the plateau to Creag Meagidh. Took the opportunity of an icy patch of old snow for a photo and cool down. After a brief rest on the summit to admire the views we retraced our steps to the col and descended through the window to Lochan a Choire. Good to get a summer perspective of this route rather than just a winter view. Long walk out through lovely through lovely countryside down Coill a Choire back to start.
