Alto de La Muela

Highlight • Summit

Alto de La Muela (378 m.). Semi-rounded height located right at the top, with no clear highest point but you have to circumvent a couple of lapiaces to climb, as a crown of rocks that surrounds the top.
We were lucky to climb in dry weather and the difference is very noticeable, the difficulty of climbing in the wet has to increase exponentially and the danger without a doubt also, since the descent with tall, wet grass and between rocks has to be very dangerous, because with dry weather already had to be careful with the torcas that haunt the place.

Near the top is the Dolmen del Brujuliro, which although I was looking for it because we went up almost expressly to see it, we could not find it (there is an area with quite high steps or we were very confused and could not find it)

Cueva de la Colodra

Highlight • Cave

Magnificent cave with beautiful views that is worth visiting. It is a few meters away from the path up to Brenas and passing through the Peñal de Brenas.

Peñal de Brenas

Highlight • Summit

A grassy peak with just four rocks marking its maximum altitude, without a mailbox but with an antenna almost at the top. Of course, the beautiful views are guaranteed, especially if it is clear.

El Canto Partido

Highlight • Summit

Modest peak that, as its name suggests, are split ridges... a succession of very split, small and very sharp rocks that, despite their modesty, make it difficult to walk on.

Casona de Ardanaz

Highlight • Historical Site

Casona de Ardanaz, in Rucandio, is a large house built in the last quarter of the 18th century. On its portal it has a beautiful blazon (coat of arms) as well as the main facade in its upper part, decorated with two other smaller blazons around a small balcony, coats of arms alluding to its promoter Simón Crespo y Miera.
Since 2007, its interior has been converted into a hotel, respecting its protected exterior.
