This is an often forgotten but useful pedestrian footbridge over the East Coast Mainline - connecting Newton Hall with Frankland Lane/Durham. You get great train and Cathedral views.
It's a good way to connect Aykley Heads Nature Reserve with the paths along the river Wear creating a nice loop from the city centre.

A grade 1 listed medieval masonry arch bridge over the River Wear in Durham city centre. It was built in the early 1400s to replace the 12th century bridge. There are great views from the bridge of both the castle and the cathedral.
