The artists' village of Kwaremont is best known for the Oude Kwaremont - cobbled slope and executioner in the Tour of Flanders and other spring races. The Panorama route proves that not only the bicycle has its place here. You are guaranteed to have fun here even with your trail shoes!
This route has not stolen its name. During the Tour you continuously look out on rolling landscapes and you walk through forests such as the Spijkerbos and the Hotondbos to the highest hill top of the Flemish Ardennes - the Hotond at 150 meters. The Tour of Flanders and its monuments such as the Paterberg, the Oude Kwaremont and the Hotondberg are always nearby, but you can still explore the region via the Panorama route in a surprisingly alternative way!
The route has about 200 meters difference in height and the course is easy for a trained trail runner to walk. Please note in wet weather, then some passages can be dangerously muddy and a shoe with a lot of profile is not an unnecessary luxury.
You can possibly link the Tour to the route of the Kluisbos which is nearby. This is included in the Collection with the name 'Kluisbergen XL trail'.
