Wallington Hall

Highlight • Cafe

Wallington Hall as an estate has been here since 1475 but it was mostly demolished and re-built in the mid 1700's. It was then in the hands of the Trevelyn family until gifted to the National Trust in 1948 by the socialist MP Sir Charles Trevelyn.
The National Trust now owns and manages the house and estate which comprises of a wild and informal range of garden, woodland, parkland and wetland.

Wallington Walled Garden

Highlight • Natural

The walled garden is sheltered from the weather by high brick walls creating a warmer microclimate that would have allowed plants to grow for a longer season. It used to be the kitchen garden for Wallington Hall but now as part of the National Trust managed estate it's mainly ornamental. Paid entry as part of the gardens, NT members free.
