Good morning! There's a real storm on the coast here today. We took the opportunity to go on a hike through the coastal heath between Sahlenburg, Berensch, Altenwalde and Holte-Spangen. An absolutely recommended hike on a well-designed circular hiking trail.

We first followed the nature adventure trail for a long stretch with beautiful views of the heath.

Then we came to the Wilhelm-Lemke observation tower, from which we could already see Heck cattle and Konik horses in the distance. They are responsible for landscape maintenance in the heath.
