Hulne Priory Ruins

This is inside Hulne Park. A private park owned by the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland which is free to go in and walk around. During the winter months the park is sometimes closed so check on Northumberland Estates website for details. Unfortunately no dogs allowed.

Brizlee Tower

Highlight • Viewpoint

Brizlee Tower is a Grade 1 listed folly in Hulne Park. The 26m high, elaborately decorated tower was built in 1781, and offers superb views over the estate and Northumberland. Not normally open to the public.

Still so much damage due to the winter storms in the park. Brizlee is where the 98mph wind was recorded which is why the Abbey Route is the only part open currently due to the clear up of the storm still around the tower.
