Hiking
This circular hike (marking: Bo67) combines Bodenmais' natural treasures of Rißloch and Silberberg. Starting at the train station in the climatic health resort of Bodenmais, you first hike into the picturesque Rißloch Gorge with the highest waterfalls in the Bavarian Forest. After the spectacular Rißloch waterfalls, you go down a short stretch and on a narrow, rooty hiking path to Schönebene.
Now it's not far to Bodenmais' local mountain, the Silberberg, which offers great views and greets you from afar as you leave the forest. At the 955-meter-high summit, a magnificent panorama awaits you in all directions. The descent back to Bodenmais takes place via the Silberberg middle station, where there is also a cozy place to stop for refreshments, a visitor mine and a summer toboggan run.
Along the tour you can refresh yourself at the following refreshment stops: Bergmannschänke, Herberts Bar (both Silberberg middle station) and Silberberg-Alm (valley station).
