The route often starts and ends at the Vía Verde del Aceite (Greenway of the Olive Oil) in Jaén, which provides a scenic and accessible starting point. You can look for parking options near the Vía Verde del Aceite in Jaén.
This route is classified as moderate. It requires good physical condition and some experience in mountain biking due to its varied terrain, which includes tracks, roads, cycle paths, and narrow trails. It's not typically recommended for absolute beginners.
The Jaén region experiences hot summers, so spring and autumn are generally the most pleasant seasons for mountain biking. The weather is milder, making for a more comfortable ride through the olive groves and historical sites.
No, there are no specific permits or entrance fees required to ride the Ruta Arqueológica de los Torreones.

A map or GPS device is also recommended to navigate the varied terrain and ensure you hit all the historical points of interest.
I have stopped at the bike shop to replace fluid in the wheels, and check the brake pads, but not before doing the route. I don't know if the weather will let me go out Tuesday and Wednesday, so I will make the exercise subject to the weather. On Thursday...it's time...!RUTACAAAA! 💪💪💪
This route is not new, but I was looking for rehearsal, practice, improve my physical shape... even so, and no matter how much I ran on the bike 🚲 the physical shape was going faster than me 😆😆🤣 there was no way to reach it or find it. ..I was always ahead of me, so I'm still looking for fitness 😂😂😂 Since I'm not in too much of a hurry (only 7 days left for the challenge), I'll try again and I hope that reaching it won't be too tiring! 😆😆😆 Kind regards! 🙋♂️
Gradually recovering my physical shape and I set out to do kilometers with no other objective than to improve my performance, which had been reduced during the last two weeks. I don't know yet if this will be the last outing of 2022, but what is certain is that the first of 2023 will be very soon. I want to end the year fairly well, and start it with great enthusiasm for future projects 😃! I set myself great challenges for 2023 that I will progressively culminate and that I will reveal as I meet them... that's why I feel full of hope and above all, encouragement! ☺️☺️ Happy New Years Eve everyone! 🎄🎶🕺🥂🍹🍾🍺😁
We're already warming up our engines on an afternoon that threatened rain, but not a drop actually fell. I set off with my partner and friend @Carica to put some miles on our legs. We enjoyed a cool afternoon today, but not low temperatures, and my partner set a good pace 💪💪💪 Best regards! ☺️🙋🏻
Departure with a lot of freshness since we left with 12 degrees, 🥶 accompanied by my friend and companion @Carica We realized our poor fitness level and that we must start recovering it as soon as possible 🥵. So much so that we didn't stop for a beer 🤭😰😱🍺🍺 until we are physically well, so now a few outings without a happy ending await us 😆! Best regards 😊🙋🏻
Already in Andalucia and ready to roll to the fullest 💪 Sun 😎, light, pleasant temperature of 16º at the exit, various smells. Ummm! Godsss! What a pleasure to go out on the bike, I had almost forgotten to ride 😆😆😂 Preparing the great route that my colleague @Carica and I will do in a few days, and that you will surely like 🤭🫣😃
With a little modification, I love this route to do it on those days when we have little time, and really want to ride. The unevenness is ideal for pedaling, although it must be taken into account as it is not exactly flat. Quiet afternoon without traffic where I came across a group of more than 20 teenagers on bicycles 🚲 and just as I was going to take a photo, one of them almost fell... what a coincidence 😅
