To round off our holiday in Wales, we took this walk that is very well known in this region, the Precipice walk. It is a walk through the historic Nannau estate and along the banks of Llyn Cynwch. The walk is very varied. From habitats such as woodlands and meadows to fascinating views of Snowdonia's mountain ranges. The path takes you through part of the Nannau estate, which dates back to the 12th century and is steeped in fascinating Welsh history. The route ends on the banks of Llyn Cynwch, a working reservoir that supplies water to nearby Dolgellau.
Gorgeous walk where you get all the views without having to go too far uphill. The lakes and hills, with a few little rocky bits, keep it exciting.
Forgot to record the start of the walk ... but excellent views over the valley and River Mawddach estuary towards Barmouth.
