This route was planned by komoot.
Circular from Arnside chippy , up over Arnside Knot, which I didn't know you could cycle over. Down then to Silverdale Cove, which is beautiful but the beach bridleway is impassable after. high tide (very muddy). Detour up to Jenny Brown's point (magnificent and wildly beautiful). A bike hike along some beach to pick up the bridleway. Tried to find some "secret" mtb tracks along the way but without success. BIG Moan... Gait Barrow and Hawes Water Tarn, absolutely beautiful but is it for foot traffic only? Is it a cycle route as shown on certain maps. Come on English Heritage you've spent a fortune just for footpaths!!! I'm staring to see the argument that a lot of footpaths need to opened up to bikes. There's a lot of older folk who have come to the sport, are responsible and maybe can't walk as far as they can cycle. They are being excluded!!!! Curates egg of a day really.
