Tuscany 1st Tour The handlebars on one of our road bikes broke - mine didn't (oh dear, rule of three... complicated 🤔). Luckily, we still have a hardtail with us. A wonderful, quiet route through the hilly landscape above Lucca. In the "Valley of the Paper Mills" from Collodi, it climbs steadily. At a construction site, the workers call out an enthusiastic "Ciao bella!" (I'm so glad I got to experience that! 😄). The poor e-biker behind me, whom I had just overtaken, is showered with the rudest Italian yelling... A fantastic descent from the Passo del Trebbio to the mountain town of Bagni di Lucca - endless switchbacks and zero traffic. It's simply a joy. A well-deserved coffee break in Bagni di Lucca. At the end of the route in Lucca, we meet our children, who graciously give us a ride back.
Last part is not nice to ride... heavy traffic road
