The Puy de Grioud is a mountain in the middle of the ancient caldera (collapse crater). You have a wonderful all-round view

Very nice summer hike without much difficulty. Shaded much of the time. Be careful not to do it after heavy rain because there are some wet passages, particularly after Mandailles (maybe take the GR 400 in this case.)
