This route was planned by komoot.
Yet again another well organised IOW Randonnee - completed on a full sus MTB. Managed to chug round this year 20 minutes faster @ 5 hours 37 minutes move time. Picked up a puncture but apart from that all was good.
1st big return to the MTB after a gap of 9 months. A great day out and weather just about held. Amazed I managed to get round it!
Another sold out Randonnee and time to hop on the wrong bike for the job. The weather this year was not the greatest, misty and full of drizzle but happy to complete the event and get the enamel badge of course. Organisation yet again was fantastic and the QR codes which they started last year makes logging each stop easier and swifter if you want to continue the ride quickly. Food stops this year for me were different, stopping at a local store in Brighstone located next to the pub. Lots of drinks, cakes and local produce plus picnic benches outside to use. Met a fellow mountain biker - Steve while waiting for the chain ferry at Cowes. Had a nice chat and informed me doing it on a road bike would be way easier. Fantastic ride although a little soggy.
Isle of wight is a great place to cycle on . They call it bicycle island for a reason!
