Beautiful serene pond set into the roadside heathland. Can make a beautiful spot for watching the sunset but gets busy in the summer. There’s usually an ice cream van on the entrance to the car park on Hatchet Road.

May 28, 2023, Brockenhurst loop — New Forest National Park - MTB Bank Holiday Ride

Fantastic route and one part of my 2 day MTB Bank Holiday Adventure. This route was pre made and although an amazing ride there were a few areas which depending on your skill and bike used could cause issues. At 11km you come to Bolderford Bridge with the route turning left before crossing the bridge. Don't do this as you will end up carrying your bike over trees, areas in places unrideable and then you get the end to cross the main road there is no gate, it's a style. I recommend crossing the bridge, turning left and heading in the direction of the main road. Stunning views and wild animals everywhere - amazing. Just amend the route as you see fit.

Lots of this route is not visible and super muddy at the moment . Great adventure tho
