The return to Cervinia is not advisable for hikers because we had to make a few detours to avoid disturbing flocks of grazing sheep. In fact, it is partly on a mountain bike trail and partly on a somewhat haphazard meadow. Better to follow the normal paths if possible.
pleasant ring with spectacular views of the Matterhorn for the entire route; less interesting is the descent from Plan Maison to Cervinia following partly the ski slopes
