Among other things, a black, veiled female figure is said to be up to mischief in the walls, apparently the ghost of the evil Brigitte. But don't…

I started my hike at the parking lot by the swimming pool in Sasbachwalden. Right from the beginning, the path led me steadily uphill, and I quickly felt the fresh air of the Black Forest. The ascent was pleasant, not too steep, and was soon rewarded with a special sight: numerous cherry trees bloomed along the path, their delicate blossoms bathing the landscape in a bright, almost magical light. I continued upwards in the direction of "Auf der Eck", where small clearings opened up again and again, offering me the first wide views. I let my gaze wander over the Rhine plain, which stretched out in the distance, and with clear visibility, I could even make out the contours of the Vosges mountains. My next destination was the Hegenberg. Once there, I was particularly pleased with the fountain and the small drink station – a welcome opportunity for a short break. I sat down, enjoyed the peace and quiet, and let the impressions so far sink in. Afterwards, I continued
Hiking tour from Sasbachwalden. First up the Gaißhöll waterfalls, then up on the Brigittenschloss it was quieter. The view went to France, where the cathedral in Strasbourg was within reach.
One of the most beautiful hikes in the Black Forest, grapevines, fruit trees, schnapps fountain, rocks, ruins, waterfall
Very scenic tour with a wonderful view. Good condition required, 510 Hm, many paved paths. We left the original route of Schnapsbrunnenweg 2 with the recommended detour to the Brigittenschloß (wide view of the Vosges). For this we hiked through the Gaisölle waterfalls, which are well worth seeing.
Recommendation from Hotel Spinnerhof Schnapsbrunnentour 2 anti-clockwise, but from a different starting point. We then ran clockwise, which turned out to be absolutely correct, because we were on the sunny side at the end and only had a short but steep climb at the end. Overall, the tour was super nice and entertaining. Culture, art, sport, nature and of course culinary delights - there was a bit of everything. Luckily we had enough change with us, but we didn't try every liquor fountain! 😜. It was also a highlight in terms of landscape and the weather also played along. Sticks are recommended.
