This course in the middle of the forest is very accessible. It refers to the darkest memories of Sundgau. Indeed, we reach the front line that separated Germany from France during the First World War.
You will be surprised by the continual presence of ponds at the origin of the local culinary specialty: fried carp. These bodies of water are artificial and were set up in the 12th century to develop fish farming. This allowed the monks and the population to avoid other meats during Lent.
