This route was planned by komoot.
The path leads from the car park along the left bank of the river through the mountains to the Fuete. We didn't want to go back the same way and instead went along the river, partly through it. About 1500 m down there is a narrow section where the water is too deep to wade through. There we climbed back up to the path via a dry stream. About 1 km before the car park we turn sharply right again down to the river and another 200 m through waist-high water to the waterfall.
Hut tour alternative program Day 1 Tour 1/2 . "The hiking trail leads you along the Río Alcanadre into the gorges of the Sierra de Guara Nature Park. Sometimes the well-marked path offers great views of the surrounding mountains and sometimes it is exciting along the smooth rock walls to the natural pool of Tamara. Even without canyoning experience, you can relax and climb into the crystal-clear water here. Before you start the way back, you can take a look into the narrowing canyons of the Río Alcanadre. However, you cannot go in there without the right equipment and an experienced guide. Once you have returned to the car park, the two pools of the Salto de Bierge await you, which you can dive into before your return journey. The car park at the Salto de Bierge fills up pretty quickly on weekends in the summer months, so you should get there as early as possible or avoid the weekends altogether. Also bring enough food for the hike, as there are no places to stop along the way."
It's certain that the ideal is to do this hike in the summer and leave for the day to be able to have a little dip at the finish on the Fuente de Tamara side, taking a picnic... but we were in Huesca this morning and there were about forty kilometers to get here. It's not a very long hike (10 km round trip), but Komoot or X has drawn a nice line on the way back... in any case it's the same route, with an easy track at the start then a path suitable for people with reduced mobility, but which becomes very rough afterwards. My friend stopped 800 m from the finish, I ran almost to the end, I was able to see the places in the photos of the must-see places on the application, it's still quite pretty! And then we had to do a hike on this very special day, I took another year 🤪
