The island is definitely worth a visit. The tour is strenuous. We pushed the e-bikes up the last climbs before the Santuario della Ceriola, or we parked them and took them with us on the way back. Likewise, we didn't ride the particularly steep descents with loose ground, but pushed them. But these are only short passages. Basically, you can cycle in peace on the car-free island. Really beautiful.
Today we explored Monta Isola by bike and on foot. It's a great place for cycling, as the island is car-free. There are also fantastic views all around, especially from the chapel at the top. We reached the chapel on foot from Cure.
By boat from Sulzano to Monte Isola. Then by mountain bike around the island and up to the Chiesa della Ceriola. A very nice tour with wonderful views.
