This route was planned by komoot.
In 65 km there is everything, from the cemented suburbs to the cycle paths in the very green parks around the city. Sure, spring helps. Attention, 19 km before the end, due to the construction sites of the metro4, you have to go around wide and take the road again immediately after
Very varied, fun and also challenging tour, to be done on a public holiday.
Beautiful day to embrace me given the clear air and the winter sun that has enhanced cities and landscapes. The only thing that was missing was the detour to Mount Stella which, given the day, it would have deserved - but you must be able to satisfy those who kindly accompany you and just don't want to know about climbs. Perhaps there I would have anticipated the breaking of the chain which, as I feared before leaving, still happened a few kilometers further on - even changing a chain is an art that you must know how to do well: if in doubt, false link and go. Last note: the tour resumes the official one of October 2021. Compared to that of 2019 it contains some differences - and it's nice that this circuit changes constantly, as the city changes. However, it is also slightly different from that of October 2021 as regards the south-east part, as the road in via Vaiano Valle is closed for works. Hoping, however, that the passage of the bike was possible, we took a risk, but we had to go back due to the clear denial by the road workers - the work however concerned the guardrails and not the road surface and there did not seem to be any particular danger. Having said that, maybe someone in the same situation can do better than us, suggesting, of course, to proceed with the utmost attention. For our part, once we found it impossible to proceed, we therefore had to turn around and arrive at the Certosa through the Vettabbia cycle path, which in any case always deserves a ride.
Great experience! Great company! Wonderful day of chatting in the saddle! EmbraceMi route clockwise. To see unknown corners of Milan and BikeFriendly. Thanks to Aldo for very interesting explanations at the various POIs.
