August 12, 2021, Rund um Beuron: Eichfelsen-Panorama

SHORT DESCRIPTION Round trip right through the breakthrough valley of the Young Danube, with constantly changing perspectives of the famous Beuron Monastery and the Danube. The Danube is crossed twice and twice it goes from the valley up to the most beautiful panorama places in the Danube valley. Sights include - Lookout rocks: Fissure rocks, Rauher Stein and - Eichfelsen - Irndorf rock garden - Wildenstein Castle (refreshment stops) - Beuron (monastery and rest stops) There are plenty of parking spaces in Beuron. The hike follows the sign "Donauwelle" throughout.

Good evening 🖐! If you have the "Swabian Grand Canyon" 🏞 almost on your doorstep, you should pay it a visit. So the three of us drove via Balingen and the Lochen to Beuron. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by mighty rock walls. It was clear to us that "we did everything right again today"👍! The start and finish was at the car park by the monastery. We continued via 📍Wooden bridge 📍Garbage dump path 📍Irndorf 📍Railway post 📍Wildenstein Castle (🍺🧀🥪🍅🥕) 📍Petershausen 📍Beuron Monastery During the entire hike, we always had a view of the Danube winding through the valley🙂. Except for a few meters in the car park, there was no asphalt, only forest and meadow paths👍. It was simply a beautiful hike 🥰 🙋‍♀️🙋🐾

Patrick invited people to the Komootler Donauwellen hike. Of course we're going to be there😉The tour was as usual by Patrick😜 Again very well organized, thank you for that🤗 Great hiking trails with a great group👍beautiful views and great weather👍 The obligatory refreshment stops were not neglected either, an all-round perfect day👍 I'll leave my tour in for about a week so that the hikers can take some photos😉

The circular hike on the Danube Waves Premium Trail begins at Beuron train station. From the historic wooden bridge over the Danube, the path leads us up to numerous viewpoints. Eichfelsen, Wildenstein Castle. Passing the Petershöhle is currently closed !! Back to the starting point of Beuron train station! Great tour 🤗

The tour is a premium hiking trail of the "Donauwellen" and is accordingly well signposted. Varied, leisurely round with some crisp ascents and descents. Beautiful views of the Danube valley, including from Eichfelsen, Spaltfels and Rauher Stein, were definitely worth the effort. Most of the tour took place in the shade, so the heat was bearable.

A wonderful path full of impressions. We followed Yvonne on her tour. Many thanks to you 🌞🌻

Donauwellen Eichfelsen panorama at the Danube breakthrough #4 of 6 Start: Beuron train station 🔺Historic wooden bridge. 🔺Monastery view. 🔺Rough stone. 🔺Irndorf rock garden. 🔺Eichfelsen. 🔺Vogelsruh viewpoint. 🔺Rock panorama. 🔺Wildenstein Castle. 🔺Peter's Cave. 5-star tour with decent elevation gain. Special features: Wildenstein Castle is closed for the winter from the end of October to the end of April. The Peter's Cave is no longer accessible for safety reasons. The stairs leading up have been dismantled. All Donauwellen tours can be found in my "Donauwellen" collection.

Used the long weekend again to take part in a group hike about 200km from home. And I have to say it was really worth it... In the beautiful Danube valley, the Eichfelsen panorama tour of the Donauwellen Premium hiking trails was on the agenda today. Even though I felt like I climbed Mount Everest twice (although I'm slowly but surely getting used to the altitude), it was a great feeling to look down into the valley from above 😍😍 I can really recommend this tour to everyone.
