Bartholomäberg, the "sunny balcony" of the Montafon, lived up to its name today ☀️ It's always a dream to immerse yourself in this beautiful nature and mountain world. Up here, you can truly find pure nature, peaceful, quiet, and simply soothing for the heart and soul ❤️🥰 and the views are simply dreamy, expansive, and breathtakingly beautiful 😍😍😍. I love spending the day outside, and when it's as peaceful as today, it's a very special gift for me 🥰🙏 Even the rain took its time, and so I treated myself to several enjoyable breaks... letting the silence, the magnificent nature, the impressive mountain landscape, the enchanting views, and of course, my beloved clouds work their magic on me ❤️😊😍. It was wonderful. A day to fall in love with ❤️❤️❤️ PS: The tour mostly follows easy trails (T1/T2). Only in the section between Itonskopf and Wannaköpf (T3) does a certain amount of surefootedness and a head for heights require a certain amount of climbing, especially on the short, rope-secured ascent/descent to Itonskopf (approx. 5 minutes).
Immerse yourself in the wonderful nature and mountain world over and over again and pure nature reigns here 🥰😍💗 The tour mainly leads along easy-to-walk paths (T1/T2) and only requires a little more sure-footedness and a head for heights in the Itonskopf to Wannaköpf (T3) area on the 5-minute rope-secured ascent/descent to the Itonskopf Bartholomäberg and its ridge is referred to as the "sunny balcony" of the Montafon and yes it is ☀️👍 and also has wonderful views 😍😍😍 A bitingly cold breeze blew today and when the sun just hid behind the clouds, it was pretty cool, but that didn't stop me from taking enjoyable breaks again and again and the wonderful nature, mountains, the enchanting views to enjoy and watch my beloved clouds 🥰🥰🥰... I just love to spend the day outside and when it's as wonderfully quiet, almost lonely as it was today, especially 😊🥰🥰🥰... Beautiful that's it
The tour mainly leads along easy-to-walk paths (T1/T2) and only requires a little more sure-footedness and a head for heights in the Itonskopf to Wannaköpfle (T3) area on the 5-minute rope-secured ascent/descent to the Itonskopf Bartholomäberg and its ridge is called the "sunny balcony" of the Montafon and yes, it is that too ☀️👍 and also has wonderful views 😍😍😍 ... okay today I would have been happy for some shade, it was hot and sweaty, or rather it was really humid 🥵 . .. I haven't sweat as much as today for a long time. Later on from the Wannaköpfle, fog rose and it got a little cooler, but unfortunately the otherwise beautiful views were a bit clouded 🙃 ... well, but it was beautiful anyway and I just love spending the day outside and so I took breaks everywhere and enjoyed nature 😊🥰🥰🥰. Conclusion: I've been to the area twice and back then I was totally blown away 😍😍😍 ... a really beautiful area 👍👍👍. Today the overall experience was clouded a bit by the unpleasantly muggy and sweaty temperatures 🥵 and the hazy view and later by the fog and on top of that there was a real plague of insects today... Bremen, flies, beetles, bumblebees, mosquitoes .. etc. 😆 ... at some point I was almost paranoia and it itched and tickled me everywhere 😆 ... well, that got better when the fog appeared 🙃. Yes, and that's why today's tour didn't blow me away like the times before and it was still a nice round and the fog shows were super impressive to admire 🥰🤩😍😍 and the landscape here is wonderfully idyllic and quiet 🥰🥰🥰👍. Here are my two similar tours in this area as additional inspiration: https://www.komoot.de/tour/483713366 on this tour, the additional loop around the Schwarzhorn was extremely beautiful. But next time I would definitely take the way up to the Wannaköpfle like today, i.e. take the marked, lower path (is much more promising) and only later make a detour up to the Wannaköpfle at the sign. https://www.komoot.de/tour/621313395 (done as a winter hike without Itonskopf, also beautiful 😍👍)
On the way on the sunny balcony of the Montafon with a final mulled wine to warm up
Today I was able to experience another dream day in the mountains at 🥾👍 It should be one of my “favorite tours” again today :) I go on this tour every summer and in winter with snowshoes🙂🥾. I started at the church in Bartholomäberg at 8:30 a.m., already in the best hiking weather and a great mountain panorama 👍🌞 With a view of the Zimba, the Three Towers, etc. I started up to Rellseck (inn is still open), it was still too early to stop for a break 🤣 so on to "Monteneu" ✝️ my peak No. 1, Take a short break here and enjoy the view👀👍 Afterwards we went up to the “Wannakopfs” unfortunately without ✝️. A short photo stop on the "Wannaköpf" with a view 👀 of the Itonskopf, my third summit ✝️👍. A short stretch back along the ascent path to meet the path over to the Itonskopf (according to Komoot there is also another path further to the Itonskopf). From the ascent/descent from the Wannaköpf the path is marked as "Alpine Trail" (blue and white), but actually not a problem for experienced hikers👍. The summit climb to the Itonskopf has been developed like a "walking path" for some time (2 years) and is completely unproblematic as long as you are free from vertigo and sure-footed. A short break and after the descent we continued to the Alpilakopf ✝️my fourth summit 🙂👍. After a nice “summit chat” with holidaymakers from De 🇩🇪, I made my way back. My first destination on the way back was the Fritzensee, where there is a well-stocked refrigerator with soda, water, beer, etc. I treated myself to a cold 🍺 and enjoyed the 🌞 some more. Then quickly to the historic mine and to the bus stop at the church in Bartholomäberg. It was a wonderful, quiet day with the best weather👍. I'm looking forward to the "obligatory" snowshoe hike 🙂🤣
Today we wanted to take it easy at the start. Didn't work out so well 🤷♀️ Beautiful tour, perfect panoramic view from Itonskopf. The last part to the summit is secured with a wire rope, but can be done without any problems
