Day 9 rain ☔️ finally. So the Hainich National Park 🏞 wasn't far away. Line 150, 9 € ticket is also no problem. When it rains, that's no problem here either, the canopy of leaves keeps a lot off. However, a rain jacket is desirable on the trail. At a height of 20-30 m it rises along the treetops. Great here and also in autumn 🍂 in the sun and yellow leaves a great picture motif. Whether on foot or by bike 🚲 there is pure shade here

Visiting Thuringia with a focus on Hainich National Park. The direct comparison to my internship just two weeks ago in the Harz National Park is enormous. While the spruce dominates in the Harz and the Brocken attracts thousands of visitors every day with the Brockenbahn, who are also not mobile, in the Hainich it is the red beech trees, and at a proud age of several hundred years, that this beech forest, together with few others in D has made it to one of only three Unesco world heritage sites. And it's worth it. A modern visitor center, rangers who are highly motivated to explain why national parks are so important and beautiful hiking trails and highlights that are not so overcrowded. A really great day. Thank you Siegfried for the great tour, which takes place every Wednesday and Saturday from April to October at 1:30 p.m. in front of the National Park Center in Thiensburg. Kind regards Janice
Today the Hainich National Park was on the agenda. We experienced the splendor of autumn colors. ☺️ We did a not too long tour on the treetop path 🌲🌳🌲🌳🌲🌲🌲 about 1.5km. But it was worth it despite being short. Beautiful views from the tower 🔭🔭☺️ in all directions.
