Nice round starting in the small town of Haaret, not far from Aachen - without any major highlights. In my opinion, the title of the tour is a bit too much, there are definitely nicer "pleasure tours" in the area. https://www.ostbelgien.eu/de/fiche/hiking/gewinntour-22-hauset
Today it should be a pleasure tour in Hauset, Belgium. From asphalt, forest and meadow paths, everything was there. A varied, easy to walk round with beautiful views. With a light wind and enough shade, we were able to really enjoy the pleasure tour
Superb walk along, in part, the Gueule ... Magnificent passages of meadows with their stiles ... To discover! 👌🤩
A nice little muddy 😆 Sunday round with hail, rain, sun, storm and not to forget a great 🫣 cold 5°C 🤷🏽♀️. And that where it was 18°C a few days ago 🤦🏽♀️.
A lovely hike! It's mostly on asphalt, but the stunning views and birdsong more than make up for it. The route also led through meadows and along narrow paths, accompanied by the constant sound of babbling brooks. Wishing everyone a wonderful Sunday! 🌞🤗🥾🥾☕️🐦🌻
Who says uncertain weather and short days, says short walk. A very short 8 km, but as its name suggests, a most charming walk. We leave Stembert in the rain and we will return in the rain but we will walk in dry conditions under a seasonal sky and autumnal atmosphere. A small loop without the slightest difficulty, which takes very passable paths and trails, certainly a little muddy in places but it is still autumn and the last few weeks have been rather humid. Very varied environments, mixing forest passages and pretty, clear views. Hauset and the surrounding small towns are worth lingering and wandering around. This is the advantage of short distances, you can take your time and get lost for a few moments. Departure: Hauset church Ample parking in front of the church Marking: blue and white rectangle Knot points: 79-90-85-39-78-23-15-43-73-89-91-7 (APN output -> photos by Caro only)
Today we took advantage of the short time we had in the great weather and went on a leisurely tour (https://www.ostbelgien.eu/de/wandern/genusstouren), which was extended by a stop at the always great Café Nussstöck, where everyone is so wonderfully relaxed. A complete success!
The hike started again today in the large, free car park at St. Rochus Church in Hauset. The path first takes us through a beech bush, which is located in an exemplary protected forest reserve. We walk through a fantastic landscape along streams past the source stream of the Göhl, further under the Hammer Bridge. It was 220 meters long and almost 40 meters high. Built between 1841 and 1843 from more than 8 million bricks. After the few climbs and valleys, the landscape always shows a different face. It was really a pleasure tour that we really liked.
