🅿️: Hoffnungsthal train station The mountain paths in the name of the hike should definitely be taken seriously 🥵, there were some really tough ascents and descents. Most of the passages were on the "Bergischer Weg", so you had a good feeling that you hadn't gotten completely lost 😄! As a reward, there was a delicious plum cake in the Café Rosenow. Cheap is different 🫤, but it was really tasty 😋!! More information 👇 https://www.dasbergische.de/tour/bergpfade-fachwerk-und-suelzaue
This tour offers a wonderful mix of small town, history and peace in the forest. After starting at the train station, you quickly pass the former Reusch villas and then come to the Sülz. Here you walk against the current, cross the Sülz and then follow winding paths through the forest, mostly on the "Bergischer Weg". The ups and downs should be enjoyed with caution on wet ground. You should definitely wear good, sturdy shoes. At just under 10 km, this hike could almost be described as a stroll, if it weren't for the many downs and ups. Entertaining, close to nature and close!
On days like these, it's best to set off early. Equipped with sunscreen, mosquito spray, and tick repellent, this short loop leads through the summery Bergisches Land region. From Rösrath Hoffnungsthal along the idyllic Sülz river, you quickly reach the forest. The dense canopy of leaves from above and this beautiful forest path are a joy. But the visit to the outdoor pool afterwards makes you even happier. The Hoffnungstal outdoor pool is more than an insider tip.
A beautiful tour on mostly narrow paths. A delicious ice cream in the ice cream parlor 🍨 in Hoffnungstal rounds off the hike.
Today we went uphill and downhill on the other side of the Sülz. Narrow, unfortunately very muddy paths mostly through the forest. A few meters of elevation get your circulation going 😉
Beautiful loop from Hoffnungstal. First a relaxed walk along the Sülz and then a long stretch on the Bergischer Weg with two tough climbs.
