T3: Huzenbacher See Tour

2-3 trail sections that are difficult with a cross bike. Slightly lost the way at the end. Easy to drive despite the heat due to the altitude and a lot in the shade!

Here, lovely, pretty, and nostalgic valleys blend together, vast, deep forests, high, wooded mountains, all lush, babbling brooks, rocky riverbeds, moors, cirque lakes, and fantastic panoramas. Always exciting—always tranquil.

My barometer showed 1,330 odd meters of elevation gain after the tour. Then I climbed the first climb again to make it 1,400. Highlights: - Descent via Tonbach – like flying - Trails at Lake Huzenbach - View of Lake Huzenbach from above and later from below - Trail descent from Priorstein Unfortunately, there are no refreshment stops directly along the route. Barometer: 1,414 meters

Start at Schönmünzach train station and up to the circuit of Lake Huzenbach. Small route change due to the route being closed due to tree felling work - this should not be ignored by anyone, otherwise, in addition to risking your life, you could at least have an uncomfortable discussion with the forestry workers and be forced to turn back. In the worst case, you could even be fined!! Up and down the altitude along the Murg down to Klosterreichenbach and a short stretch on the Murgral cycle path to the southernmost turning point in Baiersbronn. Over to Tonbach - I then left the 5***** luxury hotel "Traube Tonbach" behind purely for cost reasons... At km 40.2 there was an extremely steep, rooty, rough-rocky climb where I had to push the last 80 m purely for fitness reasons.... Finally made it - the highest point of the tour - the wonderful viewing platform over Lake Huzenbach! From there, it rushes down to Zwickgabel and further along the merrily bubbling Schönmünz to the Mool fountain with its small selection of water-cooled soft drinks. Then you can relax and cycle back to Schönmünzach on the natural raftsman's path. Have fun!

Ulla had chosen 51 km and about 1300 vertical meters. The Huzenbacher See Tour. We were lucky with the weather and it was a super great and exhausting tour.

After the pleasure tour comes the next level 💯 with @johnny 🤓💥 trails and HM, that worked out great again today in a dream setting 🫠 Broken but happy 😍

Unfortunately at the highest point and the furthest away from any civilization... A flat tire 🙄😂 Totally smashed, milk out, CO2 cartridge didn't help either... So I pushed it to the gas station for 2 hours and carried on 😁 The main thing is lots of fresh air, exercise in nice weather and a great tour with lots of great trails towards the end of the tour. 👍
